What is Acidity?

Acidity or acid reflux happens when there is an excess secretion of acids in the gastric glands of the stomach. The lower oesophageal sphincter, a circular muscle, joins our oesophagus and stomach. It is in charge of tightening our oesophagus after the food passes to the stomach. If this muscle becomes weak or if it doesn’t tighten properly, the acid from your stomach can tend to move back into your oesophagus. This is known as acid reflux.
It is characterised by heartburn around the lower chest area, then producing gas, bad breath, stomach ache, and other symptoms.
